Stacey & Todd say I do

On June 10th Stacey married the love of her life Todd on Martha's Vineyard at Stoney Hill.

Stoneyhill is a gorgeous privately owned property nestled in the forrest with a gorgeous barn and an adjacent horse farm, complete with dusty dirt road.

I would describe Stoney Hill as rustic meets glamorous. It was a very beautiful venue and I was honored to capture their day.

I loved all the little details from their wedding.

Like these cute Mason jar mugs and a self-serve lemonade station.

A welcome sign on an old vintage mirror, so cool!!

I remember way before any of her planning had even taken place, I first spoke to Stacey over email and she said she was wanting to hire someone to just take 8 photos.

I asked, "Why just 8?"

She said she really wanted to focus on a few things and I talked to her about all of them and really listened to her needs..

I never like to pressure anyone so I recommended 3 hours based on her day she she agreed (because she's awesome like that).

Before I knew it we went from the coldness of winter to the warmth of summer in the blink of an eye.

HOW does time go by so fast?!

So unfair.

I hadn't met her then fiancee Todd yet, but I knew he would be a wonderful man because Stacey is a sweetheart and she wouldn't settle for anything else.

I was right : )

Before the wedding Stacey seemed pretty calm as she did her own hair AND makeup (which was flawless).

I remember during their vows that Todd called Stacey his "Nubian queen" awwwww!!

I got into the shower for this shot, haha. Small room LOTS of bridesmaids. : )

As they were getting ready I whisked the dress away outside.

We had to ensure Todd wasn't out there first.

NO peeking!!!

I knew Stacey wanted to capture a bit of nature so after walking around for a few minutes I found a great tree to gently place her dress in.

I loved her dress because although it looked heavy with all that beautiful lace detail, it wasn't.

It was perfect.

Then it was time to put it on and get married!!

Her girls helped her put her shoes on and then immediately oooo'd and ahhh'd after they saw her fully dressed (as they should, haha).

Including my new bestie in the pic below.

I LOVED Stacey's cousin (aka the flower girl) she was soooooooooooo cute!!!

During the middle of the ceremony as I was sitting on the ground front and center trying to stay out of anyone's view she sauntered down the isle and taps me on the shoulder.

"Eh-scuse me eh-scuse me"

I said to her what's wrong sweetheart and she points to her shoes and asks if she can take them off.

"They hurt."

So yes, right smack dab in the middle of the wedding I helped the flower girl unbuckle her shoes and take them off. Then she hugged me and ran off.

Adorable.

Then it was time to put on Stacey's super long, fancy veil : )

I think the blusher is making a come back.

That's the part you lift before they say "you may now kiss the bride" or you know, just to look amazing in!

One of my favorite moments is always when the bride sees herself.

Stacey looked so happy.

She glowed.

Then it was time to get married!

It's always great when you have your friends and family walk you down the isle <3

Todd couldn't wait to see his bride.

Someone kept themselves entertained during the vows, haha.

These cranes were handmade my a loved one especially for their arch, so creative!

Then they were married!

This is their new family with their dad and now step mom who wrote separate vows JUST for them

<3 so special!

What a beautiful family!

The girls are about to get their own cameos ; )

So pretty!

...but first, let me take a selfie!

Loved this moment with her dad right after she and Todd were officially married.

These guys were so cute I couldn't stand it, they ALL matched!

Then everyone was saying, what's that...it's time for food and drink?

Heck yes!!!

That was one COOL looking barn I must say, great job guys!

Then it was just us : )

I love this time where we are away from everyone and I see you just basking in the newly married glow.

Stacey did't want to go too far so we stuck to just a few spots and it worked out great.

I loved the hammock, the fence, and the forrest behind us.

Check, check and check!

I had never photographed anyone on a hammock before and really think it looked adorable with such a casual setting and Stacey and Todd dressed up in their wedding clothes.

This is what was going on behind the scenes, haha.
