Is it Spring yet?!!

I don't know about you, but I am so OVER the cold.

Yes I love New England, but I stopped loving winter about 10 years ago, haha.

So to get in the spirit of Spring my husband and I visited the Boston Flower Show at the World Trade Center.

I LOVE plants.

If I had my way I will have a gigantic green house and my husband will build it, haha.

One day!

It's good to have goals.

So having never been to the flower show I wasn't sure what to expect.

It was quite busy.

The displays were really awesome.

I kept stopping to sniff all the flowers.

Probably not the best place to visit if you have spring allergies though!

Loved all the live plants, so pretty.

It's sort of like they scooped up Spring and then stuck it inside the expo space, hehe.

Love this guy too, he totally went with the fog!

The hot new trend this year apparently is air ferns. Everywhere I looked you could buy one.

I was surprised at all the varieties actually.

An air fern was one of the first plants my husband ever gave me.

Maybe he knew to buy it for me because it would be less difficult to keep alive ; )

I never said I was great with plants.

NOTE: I said I like them!

Don't get confused here : )

Of course there were bouquets for sale too.

So bright I love it!

Dan asked if I wanted one, but honestly I didn't want to have to lug it around all day with us.

They also had some judging going on.

You won't see my succulents in there.

I already have killed 2, eek! Supposedly they are easy to care for.

Who are these people and why won't they share their secrets with me?!

Each of these was grown by seedling or cutting.

Impressive!

Everywhere I looked daffodils were being sold or displayed.

Of course spring and daffodils are synonymous.

They couldn't seem to keep up with the demand.

There were also a few local artists sprinkled throughout.

My parents actually own one of his paintings!

I LOVE that mermaid <3 and his display!

Looking at the painting the left is the Towers in Narragansett in RI and to the right is the Southeast lighthouse in one of my ALL time favorite places, Block Island!

Someone had been working on this during the show.

Too awesome!

I really wish I could paint or draw.

Somethings can be learned, but if any of my past Paint Nights have taught me anything it's that I CAN paint...just not well, haha.

My mom on the other hand is amazing.

I couldn't have inherited that talent huh?

Then as we headed out my wonderful husband made sure he got me a carnation.

He is the best.

He asked if I wanted to buy any plants, but honestly this was perfect because it was so COLD out and we had taken the train.

I didn't think the plant would make it home alive with the chilly air.

This was better.

Dan also held my giant camera bag stuffed with random things from the day, hehe.

Love this man!

Grabbed some shots as we walked back to the train.

Here's to Spring and warmer weather friends!!

Wedding season is almost here.

Eeeeeeeeeee!!! I can't wait.

I have some amazing couples and locations coming up this year.

<3 Ashley
