Kaitlyn & Mike say I do

Kaitlyn and Mike were married at the gorgeous Mansion at Bald Hill on October 12th!

What a perfect autumn day with the perfect colors and dress to match.

You nailed it guys!!

So I met Kaitlyn and Mike at the Mansion's wedding expo last year and they happened to win a free engagement session with me. I was fortunate enough that they loved the images so much that they booked with me, and the rest is history. Kaitlyn, Mike, their sweet puppies Link and Brownie, and their families are truly the best. Sometimes you just click with a couple and that's how it was with these two! Despite the forecast of rain Kaitlyn never panicked. When I text her with a backup rain plan she said "Whatever is meant to be will be." She wasn't going to let anything ruin their day! She and Mike are the sweetest and it was truly an honor watching their love story unfold as they read each other love letters that morning to pinning handmade crowns together to symbolize their union. It was a remarkable day.

The Mansion is absolutely stunning in the fall.

I loved all the variety of colors.

I also loved all of the thoughtful details inside Kaitlyn and Mike's reception space!

I used to LOVE folding them (ok attempting to fold) when I was in school, haha.

Such a sweet idea.

Then the whimsy just kept on coming!

Kaitlyn and Mike used the engagement photos I took for their table decorations.

I told her mom what an incredible job she did on the aging.

They looked so vintage I loved it and seeing which ones were their favorites.

Kaitlyn is often found licking Mike on the nose so...don't be concerned ; )

Then it was off to the bridal suite to find all the beautiful ladies and get Kaitlyn ready to get married!

I loved the idea of her girl's dresses over this vintage tub.

In fact the girls loved the bathroom so much Kaitlyn asked me to take this shot which I grabbed from around the corner while giggling a bit at this cute moment.

Yes they were getting ready to brush their teeth, haha.

I couldn't wait to see what Kaitlyn's GORGEOUS dress looked like on.

I love lace so I was pretty excited!

Needless to say she made a beautiful bride.

Then it was time to read her letter from Mike.

He makes her so happy just look at that smile!

Then it was downstairs to find Mike getting ready before the first look.

I loved this father son moment.

So at first Kaitlyn didn't want a first look and then she was so happy I suggested it and we ended up doing TWO! One with her dad as well.

First looks save you so much time and are worth it.

Then it was time to get Mike.

Then it was time to get married!

Then we grabbed a few more formals before the sun was completely set.

Then it was time to warm up inside and enjoy the reception!

Kaitlyn and Mike, you are a strong and wonderful couple. I know that your smiles and laughter will see you through anything. Congrats and thank you so much for allowing me to be apart of your day. It was truly an honor and I had a BLAST photographing you!
